He does not communicate with the defenders. The back 5 are supposed to be tight knit and know what each is doing, but Marshall does not communicate when it is needed. Infact, it seemed Hudson and Kev told him a few times to step it up today.

You can hear Heaton from the other end of the pitch when he shouts- he should be first choice for me. Not blaming Marshall for the goals but the defence seems shakier to me than when Heaton plays. Heatons distribution is miles better too.

Heaton would be my first chice aswell he deserves a spell between the sticks

Marshall hasnt impressed me since Christmas and If I was in charge Heaton would be starting against Brighton

Heaton is just more composed really. Communicates well and is a better keeper than Marshall; I've said it from day one.

Many seem to hark back to Heatons supposed 'mental fragility' that manifested itself: if this is true, then how does one develop a stronger phsyche, other than by regular first team football.
They are both out of contract in the Summer, a decision HAS to be made soon otherwise they could both go for free.
