So what I done today is I walked into the trust office and handed Phil Nifield £372 to help towards the Fred Keenor statue.

That is money that came directly from people who are members of this message board, either through donations or via travelling with the forum on recent away trips.

If that is done in a couple of games just imagine if we were a pro- trust message board.

Its owner might be , but that doesn`t mean individual posters can`t make up their own minds and do.

I am sure the Keenor committee are very appreciative of all funds received from all sources , including the recent initiative by Vince (and taken up by most of the other , smaller , travel groups) to raise £1 from everyone who travelled up to Wembley on the coaches they organised.It will have been a big boost to the fund which , with the £5k the Welsh Government have pledged (at last!!) moves the total raised on considerably.

I am still hoping to raise some more money by an auction of the cameraphone picture of Annis holding the Trust magazine that you bought from me recently as well.

Phil Nifield tells me that with the other travel group donations that have been pledged then the fund will be around the £70,000 mark with just £15,000 to go.

We are nearly there and hopefully it will be done by the end of the year.

Its great that so many individual fans have contributed and continue to contribute , including those on the Wembley coaches you organised. Not sure how many coaches were involved in the scheme but didn`t Vince have over 60 coaches with the official Supporters Club? With your 6 (I`m guessing that`s about right based on the money you raised) and the other independents that should raise well over £3k which is brilliant.

I am not directly involved in the Keenor Fund , but I believe there was another £650 or so raised by the raffle held at the recent Trust event at the CCS for the 10 year anniversary of the Leeds F.A Cup game.It was free for Trust members and only £3 for their guests , so I think those attending (over 250 of them) felt it easier to dip into their pockets to buy the raffle tickets (there were some cracking prizes as well ). - with Kav , Scotty , Earnie and Leggy forming the question panel with Rob Phillips.

The likes of Phil Nifield , David Craig and Graham Keenor are giving up loads of time and effort to make sure the build is completed as soon as practicable from such events.

I took 5 coaches to Wembley which raised £250. The other £122 is from 2 other away trips and donations from forum members.

Sleepers, this is exactly what I call a pure sniper and he will be back under another false name, this forum has raised hundreds of £'s for the Statue in the past.
