I'm happy with that.

People lack perspective, as if we've some divine right to go up. "Spend and reach the promised land" is the cry. Funny that, as money was spent like water under Hammam and Ridsdale and that worked out really well. Especially due to a team 40 miles away going up having spent a pittance in comparison.

The club priorities have to be cycling out the higher paid to address the overly high wage bill in comparison to turnover. Getting more Academy players in the best position to push for first team places. To look for bargains - Mason, Turner etc.

Anything else is pure delusion, burying the head in the sand technique.

This seasons gone better than i expected, but i dont understand, when we get in a strong position, and they say money is available, why the god didn`t we strengthen.

Jones had money and "strengthened". JLS, Bywater.

What we've got with the appointment of Moody is a staff under Mackay who spend their time scouting, researching players. Ones we get in are those Mackay believes will improve the squad. A far better approach than spending for spends sake.

:ayatollah: :ayatollah: definately.. people have gotten carried away over the last few months and forgotten the objective at the beginning of the season.. Its disappointing to lose but I think the only thing people have lost is focas

Great post I feel better already. We have to live within our means, gambling like alot of teams around us will cost them next year.

I see where your coming from, but it aint easy getting in these strong positions, another opportunity missed in my opinion..

Has the over achieving stunted our growth.

A safe mid table position with little chance of the playoffs would have allowed us to get more game time into Kiss, Mason, Ralls, Harris, but the talk of automatic promotion upped the ante.

MM will recruit wisely during the summer and we will see then. :ayatollah:

Would be nice to go on a good little run and grab a play off spot, but at the beginning of the season we would of taken a top 10 spot, some people say we are overachieving at the moment, but I wouldn't be too upset if we missed out on the top 6.
