Adel Tarrabt

Sun Mar 04, 2012 8:46 am

Is he A premiership player or a championship player?
He was immense last term but hasn't had the same impact this term, is it because of the difference in the league or the squad he is in?
Would he suit a higher Placed team who have more time attacking, to allow hm the time to be more creative and involved?

dont think its anything to do with quality of squad, qprs squad is better than what they had last year its all about the players attitude,on his displays last year he s far to good for the championship but the praise went to his head

Taarabt is an outstanding player.

He is without doubt the best player in our squad.

You have probably based your opinion on the fact he scored 19 goals last season & had 22 assists & is yet to score this season but that statistic is quite misleading to be honest.

His vision is 3 seconds ahead of literally every player we have got, some of the quick first time balls he plays literally catches out our players & that's not because its a bad ball its because he has seen it quicker. He plays balls with the outside of his foot when in a position where it looks impossible to do again our players don't anticipate it & a move breaks down.

The way he can take 2-3 players out of a game with one turn & movement is superb to watch but as has been to often this season with us he is usually left with little or no options.

Also the lazy comment couldn't be further from the truth. His work rate has upped considerably this season & he is often tracking back & making tackles.

He is an absolutely top notch player & I'm convinced if he was in a top class side he would flourish.

Btw Spurs didn't sell him because he was lazy it was due to his greedy nature, he would do the unthinkable in beating 4 men then would want to beat a 5th & lose the ball. This happened all to often for Harry's liking. This part of his game is now near on non existent thankfully.

Zamora was going mental on him at HT yesterday. Fingerpointing and Tarabt had to be pulled back.

Totally agree with most. Cant agree with it all as I only picked up on Tarrabt last season. I'm not too sure what happened at Tottenham.

Was it the game against Newcastle, Joey Bartons debut, where Tarrabt ripped the Geordies apart from midfield. He did everything as described above. Really surprised after that performance he has not been cashed in.

However there are some games where it is hard to notice he is on the pitch. He seems to have quite a number of quiet games.

He's the poor man's Gylfi Sigurdsson. A bit like Whittingham, but better.

Yes Baked mate the Newcastle game he destroyed them.

In his defence he had loads of game out after a spat with Warnock whi imo treated him pretty shitty.

He has had a lot of games where he has run the show this season but as results have gone against us they are rarely highlighted.

Polo-Bobby was having a pop at everyone yesterday & rightly so, he wants people pulling they're weight & isn't afraid to voice his opinion.

He's had 59 shots this season and yet to score.Once one of them goes in then you'll see him begin to thrive imo.He might be low on confidence but one thing you can't deny him is his talent.

But stan, surely he should of found the net by now ?

he's talanted you cant take that away, but if you look at gerrard, lampard, giggs, scholes, in their prime, gareth bale
they consistantly score goals every season.
it's a bit out of characther how he isn't finding the net it must be a lack of natural instinct
