FAO: Anyone with Betting Knowledge

Sun Mar 04, 2012 12:36 am

Today I put a bet on RVP to score the first goal of the Arsenal v Liverpool game. The first goal was an own goal, at that point I threw the slip away. However he did scored the second and third and now I find out that own goals dont count.

So two questions:

Firstly do own goals count..?

and secondly if they don't and I won the bet could I still claim my winnings even if I haven't got the slip..?

Own goals don't count.

If you haven't got the slip you're probably fooked.

If I were you, I'd blame those pesky Malaysians.

Own goals dont count. :ayatollah: So you have won your bet, not sure on claiming. I have heard of people who have, as they fold the slips up and keep them.
But not sure how they can Know whos slip it is.
Go in tmoro and try :ayatollah:

Done it a few times years ago when they used to keep slips!

You'll probably be asked to write it out as you did as they will have a screen print of your slip with the new systems they use, then you'll have to signed a disclaimer accepting liability/responsability for the bet if the tickets found....Not exactly sure whos responsible in that case but guessing its you!?

If i was you id get to the bookies and claim before someone finds the slip and trys claiming it

No problem. You'll have to write a duplicate bet so they can check your handwriting with the original bet, all bets are scanned. Fill out your name and address, collect your money.

Just an update.

After thinking back about what I done with that betting slip I went through the bin and finally found it covered in food waste. Cleaned it up took it to the Bet Fred office and happy days, not only did they pay out but because RVP scored another and that it was a live game they also doubled the odds!!!! So £50 richer.

:ayatollah: Thanks to everyone on here for the advice.
