I'm quite suprised Chopra escaped punishment from the Ipswich hierarcy regarding his drinking antics in Newcastle along with Jimmy Bullard, where as Bullard gets 2 weeks suspension and Chops starts against Bristol City. We know there is disent within the club in regards to Bullard....but letting Chopra play could have a knock on effect within their camp. What kinda example or message would that send to rest of the team, we know Bullard and Jewell dont get on......but other players maybe thinking "I might as well go on a lash prior to football games like Chops did etc"......then manager would lose all control and respect of the team.
Dont get be wrong, I like Chops.....but I'm glad hes gone now, otherwise he would have been a bad influence on the team ethic and young players we have right now. Under DJ we just didnt have any rules or discipline within the squad.......some might disagree or agree, but I believe Ross McCormack would have greatly benefited under the management of Malky and DJ did have his favourites nevertheless, their were times which I felt sorry for Ross McCormack when he didnt get any games for us, but that was bad man management on DJ's part.
Just a question for you all, what would you prefer?
A pissed up chopra who's in starting XI and can score goals, but can bring disruption to the team......or a unit with the likes of Mason, Miller and Cowie, who give us full 90 minutes, excellent team ethic and not disrptuive to the team.
My opinion is to have a great team ethic, who put a great shift in their performance, regardless if they score or not.

Your second option. I've got no time for anyone who is less than 100% committed!

Can't help but still have affection chops! would I like him to still be playin for us? Even though he probably would be a bit disruptive maybe, I'd have to say yes I'd like him to still be a bluebird.. His goals would come in handy, and think we would be further up the table if we still had him on board, just a shame he's got so many demons to deal with

Chops would have put away that 88 minute wembley attempt if in same position

I do think Chops would be amazing under Malky. Over the course of the season Kenny Miller has become more of a 'Malky player' in that he no longer complains all the time (West Ham opening game) and he never stops running. At the beginning of the season he was pretty lazy and allways had a moan. IMO this could work for Chops if he was under Malky. He's more of a disciplinarian than DJ was

I think Malky got rid because Chops had too much baggage !
