Is West Ham a "must win" or "musn't lose"?

Sat Mar 03, 2012 5:55 pm

Given the way results have gone today, I think tomorrow is a chance for us to put down a marker and send out a message to the teams around us that we've had our blip and are kicking on.

I do fear that if we lose, Malky will have a job picking the boys up ahead of another tough game against Brighton on Wednesday.

Right now, I'd happily take 4 points out of 6 over the next two games and so for me it's a "musn't lose" game

Neither really, plenty of more points available.

Ideally a win, a draw not a bad result a loss would be disappointing but still in a decent position.

I'd take a draw.

However there will still be a lot of points to play for.

I'd be delighted with 6 points from our next 3, and not distraught with 4.

Its games like Burnley, Coventry, Millwall, Watford, Derby and Leeds that we need to win -all at home.

then there is Hull. Say we get 16 points from that lot ?

We should also be looking to get a few wins from the games at Bristol City, Barnsley and Palace. - say 6 more there.

Then scrape a few points out of the aways at
Brum, Brighton and Middlesborough 3 more

with a draw tomorrow that would leave us on 79 -enough for the play-offs ?

Gotta win your home games. 3pt tomorrow.
And we must try and take the points at Brighton.

And that will put us right back in the mix.

I think this is a must win game tomorrow, I need a bit of a pick up after wembley, just watched the highlights today on sky + and can't believe how close we were, only now my voice is starting to come back.

I'd be happy with a point. We are playing West Ham after all.

c'mon it's not that bad...
Brighton, Birmingham, Hull, Blackpool all dropped points this weekend and it's in our hands to get west ham to drop points.

Its a no brainer its a must win and Malky will go out and do his best to get the win.

Every game is a must win game until the end of the season if we are going to have any chance of the prem.

If we loose this or any other game then so be it but the club must go for wins in every game I dont see it any other way.

Win or loose I still love the City.

Clearly "must win" doesn't mean the same to me as it does others

I'd take a draw, but after how we performed against one of the top teams in the country on sunday we should not fear anyone in this league, and we should be looking for a win. And, we've only dropped two points in 5 games against the top three in this league so far this season :D

Good 2 - 0 win tomorrow, then a push to the prem......autos are still well within reach

every game is a must win from here on in, we need to go on a strong run 14 games 2 go 8 of those at home and many of the away games are winable. We need to build on the Carling Cup Final performance and start with a resounding victory over West Ham and we can ride that wave all the way to the Premier League :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
