I was sat quite near to the halfway line and the noise from the Liverpool fans was much louder than anything we produced. Also their range of songs and chants were better than ours....much as I hate to admit it. I've also played the game back on tv and it backed up my feelings I had on the day. There again they had nearly all of the middle tier (club Wembley) and must have had 15,000 more than us at the game. They also had more colour than us. Each of their fans seemed to own a scarf and it was very effective when they all held them aloft.

I felt the complete opposite tbh, only time I ever heard Liverpool at intervals with YNWA

If you were behind the City goal I imagine you would think City were the loudest. As I said...I had City to my left and Liverpool to my right and we were outsung. Did you record it? Play it back and you will have to agree.

I agree, Liverpool only really chanted when they scored/were winning or when they all got together for YNWA or Fields of Anfield Road

I watched it on iPlayer and even the commentators were saying that Liverpool were quiet.

And when they did they were much louder. I don't like saying it but they were. Thousands of City fans behind the goal will disagree but they were not in the best position to judge fairly.
