DJ done a remarkable job at City, his time was up at the club I admit that, but surely he has to be praised for the good work he done at the club.

I will always have good memorys of dave jones as our manager, gave us some of our clubs best years! I wish him the very best and hope he does a good job at wednesday

Totally agree.
His time was certainly up and we have moved on but IMO he also did some very good work and will always have my respect.

Here's the problem with DJ...
Like any job there are a number of things that need to be done.
To be a great football manager you have to be able to:

(1) build your contacts
(2) build a team
(3) understand strategy/tactics
(4) bring youth through
(5) bring everyone together, club, players, fans
(6) ensure you keep players under contract to not lose them as assets of the club
(7) have good relationship with the media
(8) be a people person!

His ability falls sharply as you go down the list. He only ticks some of the boxes. A new club may be thrilled early on with say his skill in (1) or (2) but eventually he is exposed in the areas he lacks.
