"Despite the result, it was still a truly great day for the club and I was so proud of the players, staff and fans who all attracted enormous credit on Cardiff City. Now we need"The final is now in the past so we have to focus on what's in front of us. I'm therefore pleased that we return to league action with such a big match. There can be no doubt that we'll have to be one hundred per cent focused and committed to get a positive result and I'm sure we'll acquit ourselves well to the task.
"We have fourteen Championship matches left this season, eight of which are here at Cardiff City Stadium and we have a fantastic opportunity in front of us to achieve something truly significant. We will only be able to do that if we all continue work together with a common purpose and that includes players, staff, fans and everyone connected with the club.
"Your support since the summer has been truly outstanding, but I am now asking you to raise the volume levels even further and genuinely act as a twelfth man because the players really do draw inspiration from the noise generated in the stands." to use all the goodwill and positivity that we created to continue building the club into the operation that we want it to be.
