McCormack set for sensational Wales return

Cardiff City are hoping to build on their recent Carling Cup success with a bid for former striker Ross McCormack, currently of Leeds United.
The 25-year-old spent a prolific two years with the Bluebirds, netting 30 times in 88 games in all competitions, and has taken that form with him to Elland Road.
Despite the Whites perilous position in the Championship, the Scotland international still has 15 league goals to his name.
Recently appointed Neil Warnock will be keen to keep hold of his star striker, with the former QPR manager hoping his goals can fire the club up the table.
Leeds currently find themselves just four points off the play-off places, but a move back to Cardiff may to too hard to turn down.
Malky Mackay will be looking to McCormack as he looks to turn his side’s attention to promotion, with the Championship outfit coming close to reaching the Premier League via the play-offs, most recently losing in the final to Blackpool in 2010.

Would be a good signing imo for us as we know he can score goals and of late thats what we've been missing but i would prefer a big striker but that's just my opinion.

just posted the exact same thing
think he would be great here if he got his head sorted we know he can score goals and that what we need at the moment

Would have to be a loan, cant see Bates going for that but you never know.
Really think Malky could sort Ross out. Surely that would spell the end for Ant G. Weren't they big drinking buddies? Esp with his contract up in the summer.

Not overly fussed. Theer is no doubting his ability, but his attitutde towards everything from football to personal misdemeanours would have to have overgone a massive change.
When he was sold, there is no doubt it was the right thing to do. The only mistake was not punting him before that.

Malky would sort him, would be a great signing
Fri Mar 02, 2012 12:53 pm
with open arms...another player who had the Jones Grudge against him for no reason. he would fit our formation.

Agree with you Gary

- Lots of talk on here on what could have happened if Rossco was here working with MM.
would love to see that question answered

Why would leeds loan him to a play off rival?

No reason?
He was overweight, pissed more often than not, driving into peoples shops.....while pissed!
Needed to leave imo. Good to have back if head is sorted.

Ross is a diamond of a player with a football brain.
Never should have left.
Now we have a proper manager, I think he'll be a real threat.
Fri Mar 02, 2012 1:25 pm
Has he fallen out with anybody in leeds, would luv him back here but cant see it unless something has gone on at leeds
Fri Mar 02, 2012 1:47 pm

Fri Mar 02, 2012 2:16 pm
no my simple answer ..yes he was good when he was here and malky could prob sort him out but whose to say he would get back into his old ways knowing the city bars etc .thing is when he was dropped his attitude stunk..why not knuckle down and get back in the team ,i see mto remember he didnt and when we had injuries jones wouldnt use him because if his attitude..just my opinion...but where has this rumour come from ..cant see it myself and cant see leeds loaning him to us unless they want him out .!!!!!

Annis,
I'd have him back in a heartbeat, he should never have gone in the first place.
Fri Mar 02, 2012 2:30 pm
thing is it says with a bid ...well the windows shut so we cant ,cant see leeds selling to us .!!
Fri Mar 02, 2012 2:37 pm
This reporter seems clueless to be fair. States Leeds are in a perilous postion, then states they are only 4 points off the play offs!
Fri Mar 02, 2012 2:55 pm
I liked Ross as a player as long as MM can sort him out. I also think he would fit into the set up well.
Seems unlikely as others have pointed out unless it's a loan with a view to signing perm in the summer.
Fri Mar 02, 2012 3:19 pm
I dont believe that rubbish site
Fri Mar 02, 2012 3:38 pm
As usuall, gossip !! He`s the past ! Let`s all move on ! If we sign anyone, it`ll be Malky`s own choice not some " has been " & we don`t want his baggage either ! in my opinion, Malky`s "new genaration", new era !!,
Fri Mar 02, 2012 3:49 pm
Can't see it happening. Neil Warnock has just taken over at Leeds and I can't see him wanting to get rid of their top scorer and one of the leagues top scorers straight away.
