Usually managers stop a payoff when they get a new job, however this isnt a legal obligation (unless written in contract with previous club) he can still get the rest if its owed to him.

I think if you are not expecting much, he''l get the best out of the players and you may over-achieve, however if the expectation is high he never seems to deliver.

Add to that the fact that Megson was doing OK (and I like Megson) - they're 3rd and beat the Blades on Sunday to show their promotion credentials. Strange decision at this stage of the season - no matter who they brought in.

If Dave Jones gets them promoted this season, then the doubts will go away, I suppose, but maybe they were going to get promoted anyway. I certainly thought they were on track, so this was a strange move, in my opinion.

Surely he has terminated his own contract by getting another job he was on gardening leave so technically still employed by us.

Arrogant and bitter?? Maybe true maybe not. Probably no more than a lot of other people. But he is a good football manager.

Plusses for Wednesday: He will get money to spend,if City was anything to go by, hopefully for players and not himself, alleged to be on £760k pa with us and backroom staff on mega money also.
Can turn a bad un into a good un. If Wed have any?

Minuses: Not good at PR and dealing with the Media but may have learnt after City. Dour most of the time.
Tactics: 4 4 2 frustratingly hardly ever changes things during match.
Subs: Usually only due to injuries.
Players: Usually old dogs, does not recognise young talent and will not play them. Ramsay eg Cup Final.
Motivation: Couldn't lift us at Wembley twice. Portsmouth,Blackpool, Ipswich, Reading all massive games where we were shite.
Fans: Does not respect fans or their feelings.

He did move us forward at a massive price but failed to deliver to Club and the fans.
