And why precisely did his wife leave him, a month after police arrested him on suspicion of assault over an incident at his house, eh?

I shot myself in the foot with a shotgun accidentally but my wife still lives in my house for free, as for my "loved"ones perhaps it is better that I never see them again, certainly not the sorts of ladies that one would introduce into polite society or even Sludge. Wouldn't kill myself though, ain't got the balls for that.
