The window is not open for that long and we still haven't brought any in. All other clubs around us seem to be snapping players up. Is it that the players don't want to come here? Or is it MM is looking for The right players? Or even is it the wages problem?

Well what ever the reason we are going to find it tough with out extra players. I know this has been mentioned on several occasions but it all seems to have gone too quiet for me, and I for one would like to see some more activity.

If we want players to play in playoffs if we get there, we can only sign them next week as the longest the loan can last is 90 days.

Wrong. We could have signed them a couple of weeks ago. 93 days from today takes us up to the 2nd of June....the play-off final is on the 19th May

The 93 day loan rule meant that we could have signed loanees on 20th February. I hope no one was signed as it was the build up to the Cup Final and MM did not want to deflect from that or have a situation with a loanee having the pitential to play and upset the squad.

Could it also be the fact that Malky is dithering when it comes to the transfer market,he knows or he should know that quality players are needed to be signed if we are to keep our promotion push going and that could be the reason for his dithering,does he have enough contacts with the big boys,for all Dave Jones faults he did seem to have contacts

On the Real Radio fone in Malky did say that in the January window, you can get "stung". So that shows that Malky is careful which is good. Also sounded like he wasnt fond of bringing many people in,in this window. He might just be trying to build more funds because obviously the club got money for reaching the final in the Carling tournament, so that can add to the Malaysian investments and put it towards one or two good quality players. Instead of three or four players that are good in the championship, then become dead money if we do get promoted.

Also I have noticed that people on here have thought players are not being brought in because they dont want to join the club, you think that is actually true? As in players just look at this club as failures for trying to get to the prem? Also notice a few players that have been brought in are from different countries and different leagues where the knowledge of the English leagues might not be so good.

Now there's something we agree on. Not much, I know, but we're getting there.

We need to be very lucky to get a player who can instantly turn it on with new team mates or systems. This is a savage league, poor Vukic looked lost for the first two half's he played, and this kid will be top class. last season we got Parkin on a transfer who we can't give away, as the clubs he should be at can't afford the wages. We also got JET who is only showing glimpses of talent for Ipswich a year later. Are the replacements going to be any better than the guys in the squad ? Just because a kid is in the youth system of a top club doesn't make him any better than a championship journeyman.

I dont want any journeymen, but I totally disagree with you, our players are knackered/tired and we need a couple of new faces.

All these players are playing reg for there clubs How an earth can we loan them

A few weeks back are club wouldnt pay a few grand more for two loan players but there parent clubs wanted us to pay 75% of there wages and we wouldnt meet what they wanted yet we had a supposed 4.5million in the transfer window I do not believe anything we are told these days from within the club

None of them will come in on loan mate as they are nearly all regulars at there clubs, and dont want Chops here.
