Still a good earner though and better to be in it than not in it, especially if you've got a squad of at least 25 players like Premiership teams have to keep happy!

Carling Cup is a poor mans FA Cup but still a all great trophys to have. Lets not seem bitter, we would have loved to have won it and been in europe.

Missed the trips abroad. Anywhere will do, one must not forget where we where 18 months ago under Gillet and Hicks. Rock bottom. It took us 4 years to get rid of them and United have taken 6/7 years and got nowhere near removing the glazers. I'm sure Cardiff fans can point to certain people about their own miss-ownership.

all the best in Europe next year - you're still the most successful British team in Europe of all time (and I can't see that changing anytime soon) - Istanbul was aan amazing night, as were the glory days of the late 70's/early 80's YNWA

I'd have loved for us to have been in it - theres a whole generation of city fans who have never seen us play a European game apart from the fairly meaningless annual pre-season friendly.

With the size of our squad we are better out of it.
