Why so much hate for Liverpool???

I can't believe the amount of vitriol on here for Liverpool fans, club, city etc.

This really has made me angry as a City fan - they've done absolutely nothing to us (there was bound to be the odd isolated incident on sunday from some fans which was inappropriate - FROM BOTH SIDES).

The key thing is that the vast majority of Liverpool fans have been very respectful towards us and praised the team and the fans - all the Liverpool fans I came across were courteous and polite and were a pleasure to be with. I've even gone on their forum and they have almost universally said polite and complimentary things about us as a club - from what I've seen on here myself these last few days, if I was a Liverpoool fan, I'd be far less respectful than they've been given the hostility.

Whenever other fans come on this board, there is usually a concerted effort to make them welcome and any posts that are offensive are soon criticised mercilessly. However, for some bizarre reason, Liverpool are seen as an appropriate target for anyone and everyone to have a go at.

I know there have been some posts that have been more even handed (Annis did one linking in to the Liverpool forum and said how pleased he was with their response to us), but the majority I have seen have been frankly offensive and downright childish.

The feel good factor that I felt on Sunday with my team having performed so well against a powerhouse of the Premiership is rapidly turning to shame for the way we are treating the other teams fans.

I wasn't able to view the forum much last week because of pressure of work, but I'm told by friends that it was similar last week in the build up to the game - very very disappointing!

normally I do, but some of the posts on here over the last few days really have made me angry, as they have been so unecessary, and if it was any other team (apart from Swansea! and that's different, because of the nature of that kind of intense rivalry) then I don't think they would have been allowed by the moderators - as I said in my first post, very very disappointing!

not all liverpool fans are proper fans and what I mean is there are a lot who live in south Wales who call them selves liverpool fans but have never gone to watch em play etc.As a result we had a lot of these so called liverpool fans supporting liverpool when they should be supporting there local team.

A WELSHMAN supporting a team they dont watch hundreds of miles away just out of glory it is very annoying.
I hate those kind of glory chasing plastic fan and I no a lot of other people think the same.

As for liverpool fans who are scousers then what can you say I respect them for supporting there home town club but that dont mean I have to like em does it.

In school I supported the city and most other people in the 80,s supported liverpool and they used to laugh at me as city were in the lower leagues this has made me very passionate about my club and as a result of liverpool being rammed down my throat for so many years then it has resulted in me not liking liverpool as a club and the fans around here I do hate them and it would have been bittersweet for us to have beat em good luck to em but that dont mean I like em and thats called football mate.

Where do you get off telling people who they can and cannot like?

I never liked them, purely due to all the glory supporters I know calling themselves 'fans' ... But credit to them, the amount that came up to us after the game to say how good we did, and on their forums is a credit to them! I know there's a minority that are idiots, but what club doesn't? They could have come on here gloating (i know one did) but the majority congratulated us, and fair play to them for it!

Though from what i've read from the majority of "polo"s posts (And he even gets a lot of stick on his own messageboard). I'd say he was a middle aged man who still goes asleep in his Cardiff City bed spread, matching clock, curtains, wallpaper and lightshade! Delusional.

Never liked the club and never will, nothing to do with sunday

I think one of the worst thing I heard was on talksport, a Liverpool Fan saying how well Cardiff had played and how we had pushed his team and that we should be proud, but at the end of the day it was liverpools name on the trophy and for him it's thats what mattered more.

And where was this great liverpool fan from - south wales - and he was one that had relocated!
