A forum for all things Cardiff City

Chris Coleman has apparently confirmed his interest in making City's Ben Turner a Welsh international defender. As many are aware, he can qualify to play thanks to a Welsh grandparent.
"I was interested to see how he went against Luis Suarez on Sunday, he's a very tricky customer. But he was outstanding, one of the best players on the pitch," said Coleman. "We know he can head the ball and is a strong boy, but in international football you get players coming off you, into little pockets. You have to have your wits about you.
"I thought he was outstanding. Even before that game we had talked about him. Can he expect a phone call? Yes, he can."
Everyone watching Sunday's final (I'm still trying to recover my voice from Wembley) has agreed that Turner was fantastic. He really did tell Carroll and Suarez where to put their so-called 'talent'.

Ben Turner is a very good defender but he should never play for Wales (same for likes of Ashley Williams). Simple reason the grandparents law should be taken away.

Turner is more Welsh than Earnie....!!
Let them all play, if the rules allow it.

he would be a great asset to wales and would be a welcome addition to the team. he has shown against quality opposition he can more than hold his own and at an age where he can only get better.
turner and blake can be our new centre back partnership for the next decade

Shocked England aren't trying to force him into the England squad given his age and the way he played on Sunday.

Get Ben Turner capped for Wales ASAP and tie him down to the country! We need all the good players we can get. He was was one of our best players on Sunday, if not the best! He's still young and he's only going to get better as he gains more experience.
If him and Huds are fit for the rest of the season, then opposition teams will find it hard against those 2

Unfortunately, with Wales being such a small nation, we have to take advantage of these rules.
