It's a shame what's happened to Bristol city

Tue Feb 28, 2012 8:53 pm

I used to love our clashes!!

We used to wait all season for what was titled "the Severn side derby" watched us lose there one or twice and remember Sam on the pitch with the Wales flag! Cracking times but just don't feel the same now!!

I remember Peter Thorne right in front on the grange end Rise up to score a cracking header in an early kick off!!worked in Bristol for 2 years and loved the banter!!

Someone bring back the buzz of the Severn side derby!!
Was just as good as playing the jacks in my eyes!!

Can't wait for Bristol city away

Hated them, big time. Bristolians never have been keen on the Welsh. The footie rivalry has pretty much disappeared, though.

Never really disliked the Jacks that much but I've changed my view since I've moved to Neath. They've got some great fans, but they also have some real smalltown bitter b@stards here. Take a look at some of the posters on here, like Wales No 1 Embarrassment and waddle, that sums up what I'm talking about.

Baz, what a derby it USED to be. but everytime we play them now it feels like a normal league game against peterborough or blackpool. doesn't seem to be any rivalry anymore. we obviously wind them up but they seem to give nothing back. think bigger away allocations need to be given to each club on derby day :ayatollah:

To the older City fan they were our main rivals, horrible lot who caused a riot outside Ashton gate many moons ago after taunting City with Aberfan chants, probably the most sick chant that's ever been heard at a football ground.
