GLORY IN DEFEAT.

Not a lot of times I can say I've shed a tear while writing something. Well, this was the first.
Hope you enjoy and would appreciate any feedback :ayatollah:

That's a quality piece. The right balance of humour, facts and quotes etc.

Thanks.

Gareth, your words encapsulated my feelings - The penalties and the result were almost irrelevant, the team had just won the hearts of the non-scouse world and cemented our fans own beliefs that absolutely anything is possible with this lot

It certainly was, mate. That will live long in the memory, for all sorts of reasons, including the atmosphere amongst the City fans before, during and after the match.

I'm glad you did. It was so nice to write it and just feel what I felt in that moment again. It beats any game I've ever been to before. I don't understand how you can support Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea etc.

What's the point?

That's what makes it better for us, it's our club, rather than some foreign club we've decided to attach ourselves to just because they win more often. Grown men doing that always makes me laugh, because I associate that with children.

Totally agree. It'd be almost okay if they'd just admit to being a plastic fan, but they always seem to come up with some bullshit reason for doing the dirty deed.
