Why did loads of fans leave at the final whistle?

maybe they forgot we was at a cup final and so used to going home with 5-`10 mins before the end at ccs + over 14k of them was proper plastics i guess

I stayed to see our players go up to get medals then had to mega sprint to catch last train home. Would have loved nothing more than to stay and applaud the fans. 3 of our crowd were booked on earlier traind and left with 7 mins to play, they just caught their train. I assume many were in the same boat.

I agree, it would have been so easy just to leave the stadium but I thought that the least the team deserved was a good bit of applause and presence when they did their lap of the pitch. Our group stayed and enjoyed it and we gave the players what they deserved. It was a shame that more didn't.

I asked them directly why are you fooking off without giving the boys your support ? As expected they didn't have an answer. Not queuing for a train or getting out of the car park as quick as possible was their reason. So I couldn't help myself, I gave them a right fooking hard time and it did get a bit heated with one or two of them but as I told them; they were probably 2nd ticket fans and should be ashamed of themselves if they couldn't stay to give the boys their just reward, after they had given everything.

Stayed until the bitter end although our boys must have been hurting they came down after picking up their runners up medals and walked around the pitch applauding our supporters it was just a pity there wasn't more there to acknowledge their efforts

I was dissapointed to say the least. The players gave everything and the least they deserved was for the fans to thank them. Yes I admit some had to make pre booked trains but then again they should of counted for extra time.

I didnt see liverpool lift the cup but i did see cardiff going up and i stood there to thank them by clapping them as they did.

You could have at least watched the Cardiff players collect their medals - and then left if you didn't want to watch Liverpool collect the trophy. jinks-rct doesn't need therapy - you need to get a dictionary and look up words like support and loyalty!

it had been a long day and long game i just think a few extra minutes to thank the players for their effort and our trip to wembley wasnt to much to ask. i understand a few needing to leave for whatever reasons but 100s if not 1000s left

I stayed until the very end. just after liverpool collected the cup and YNWA piped up thats when I left

I didnt leave my seat the whole game, extra time or penaltys... Stayed for a few minutes afterwards but had to go and meet the boys coz i didnt know where our bus was as i got on it last minute and only knew 2 people on there... Hope my explanation is satisfying enough for you chief... Call me old fashioned but being stuck in london on a sunday night wasn't appealing

Well I had 30 mins to get to London Euston and on the train to Liverpool, so the only consolation to losing was that I could make good time an even get a seat on the train! If I stayed I'd be sleeping in a box on the street for the night and the mrs wouldn't be too happy with that, neither my employers. Good enough?

i showed my loyalty mate by spending a grand with the club last week and paying into the acadamy every month...and i dont need anybody telling me how they feel because i choose to walk out......and its about time people started looking at themselves rather than pointing the finger.

We lost again, people get pissed off and they spent hundreds of pounds for the fourth time at Wembley so their entitled to do what they want, super fan .

we had four 10 year olds with us... it was a long enough night by train home for them.

and i needed a shit which was crowning on the tube and preferred paddington to wembley to unload
