Gerrard of Steven

Mon Feb 27, 2012 9:18 pm

Just saw his forearm smash on Gunnarsson around the 70th minute, should be on an FA charge for that!

Makes me laugh how people say he should be England captain. Shouldn't even make the squad if they want to go forward.

He's only got one foot. Good player, but over rated IMO.

Way past his best. Was world class in the mid 2000's tbf, but he has declined now and can't boss a game like he used to. Was always overrated though. Always made me laugh hearing Liverpool fans calling him the best midfielder of his generation

Was just about to post this. Thinking he's just another dirty scouser. He could have easily just put his hands out in front of him, no need to show the forearms to the guys face.

I did note though how Gunnar didnt just go straight down like a lot of footballers would. Hopefully the egg-loving media will pick up on this and realise not all footballers are roll around on the floor panzies.

I do think he is one of the best midfielders the prem had seen in his prime but he is way off that now.

About what time was this incident?

ive been dying to watch game over cant find fu ck all not even on repeat.

Gerrard is starting to look past his best, and lampard. both overplayed, too heavily relied on for too long.

terry, ferdinand, cole, lampard gerrard, (they've all got micheal owen syndrome) managers cant let grasp the fact they are no longer of the same class

I agree and the best thing is for England they all want redknapp whose great idea is to convince Scholes to go to the euros :ayatollah:

Around the 70th min I think. I got a text about it after the game but made little sense of it until I saw the game again - it came from a jack and called SG a thug.

Just seen the Gerrard elbow, should have been booked for sure.

You only have to look at Gunnars reaction from quite a forceful elbow compared to Agger who went down from a very minimal touch from Turner
