Not his biggest fan but don't see that he needs to apologize. Miller and Rudy missed too don't forget. It was unfortunate for him that he also gave the ball away for Kuyts goal, but its not as if he deliberately set out to miss and he did have the balls to take one.

If you think he'd purposely miss that you are living on a different planet, he would have blazed it over surely, far easier than just hitting wide.

He is a Liverpool supporter but after being turned down by them and accepted by Everton he said he will always have a soft spot for Everton.

The problem is people know he's a Liverpool supporter (as are his entire family) and will start using him as a scapegoat as to why we lost. We lost because luck just wasnt with us in penalties and in normal time. We were unlucky. Thats all it is. We werent expected to win and we took Liverpool to penalties after battling out nuts off. To me, thats all that matters.
