Anybody else had them pestering you to take out insurance to cover their dish or digibox?

Just had a lady phone me to inform me that my cover (which I have never had anyway, apart from the usual first year's guarantee) had expired!

I told her that if my Sky equipment fails, I'll be cancelling my subscription, that they can have the fecking lot back and she rang off, thanking me for my time!

Don't fall for this marketting folks, because my dish went tits up a few months back, they told me that it would cost me £65 (I think it was) to call an engineer out, so they put me through to their cancellation department (on my request) and they ended up sending out an engineer, who changed my dish and housing for nothing!

yes ive had the same calls from them and i told them the same especially as the hd box i had wasnt working properly so i said id cancel and i had a new hd box for nothing

All the time, when my STB packs in I just buy a used one from Ebay, HD box for £50, last one is a year old and still going strong.
