Best Band Live????

After watch the shite that was "Blur" on the Brit Awards who would you rate as the finest live band you've seen? For me it has to be Thin Lizzy in the late 70's...Awesome

Saw them in 2010 and they were fantastic. They had 4 different people up on stage with them,
Some singing, and one girl playing a whole 9 minute song on the lead singer's guitar.

Seen many bands as I used to work in music industry through late 70s, 80s and early 90s. Saw loads of big names that disappointed and lots of less well known that were amazing. Have to agree with you though mate -undoubtedly for me Thin Lizzy at Sophia Gardens but can't remember the year [not long before the roof fell off with all the snow]. They really kicked arse that night. Otherwise, my other all time favourites was the The Psychadelic Furs at Students Union, The Church in Leeds on Gold Afternoon Fix Tour and Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers Top Rank 1977 - my first proper gig and the first of many great nights out in Cardiff in that era. Memories eh...

The Skids at the prince of wales mary st Cardiff 1978. also stifflittlefingers at prince of wales 1978. Specials, Selecter,Maddness, Two tone tour TOP Rank Cardiff late seventies... !

saw all those and a few others there mate - the POW was quality in those days.
