...has to be the inclusion of Stephen Mcphail.

If he starts in a midfield central 3 also including Gunnarsson and Whits, with 2 out of Conway; Cowie or Mason working the flanks, I firmly believe we have a chance of remaining in the game up until 70/80 mins and maybe in with a shot of winning.

If Mcphail is ruled out then I think we'll struggle in finding that vital bit of quality; experience & class to overcome a top class team like Liverpool.

We'll just have to wait and see...

Totally agree, on the big pitch his ability on the ball would be a huge boost and allow Gunnar and Witts that little more freedom.

i really like mcphail when he plays, seems to have so much time on the ball, however i really dont think he is 100% and has been out for sometime. we need to work hard and flat out for the whole 90 mins , so i wouldnt expect to see mcphail until later in the game.

If Vuckic wasnt cup-tied he would be amazing for us. Big pitch and plenty of time on the ball, just like in Premiership games. He said the Championship was a lot tougher because of the amount of time on the ball
