Is Sunday's Final Bigger Than The 1927 Final?

Wed Feb 22, 2012 4:49 pm

Considering the media and money involved today. I thinks so. :ayatollah:

Would defo say so with regard to raising the profile of City.

When you think of the media coverage all over the world that will make us a "name" that is recognised

Especially when we win!!!!!

I'm not sure it is as big as the 1927 Final.

The reasons being.

The 1927 FA Cup Final VICTORY, was Cardiff's first and only (so far) English Major Domestic Cup final win. Also, IMO, the FA Cup has always been bigger than the League Cup.

Lully,

If we win, it will be the second biggest win in our history. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

IT WILL BE BIGGER THAN ANY OF US COULD EVER OF IMAGINED. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I agree the competiton is not as high a profile as the FA Cup but the exposure will be as big as anything else we have been invloved in.

1927 - FA Cup against Arsenal - Radio and belated cinema coverage
1971 - Real Madrid - again limited TV and radio
2008 - FA Cup against Portsmouth - National TV but not much world interest

but with the scousers they will draw in the audience ...................just watching.................as the Bluebirds raise the trophy!!!

KEEP THE FAITH

Yes,of course it is. The 1927 FA cup final was 85 years ago, probably no longer in living memory . The Carling Cup Final is this coming Sunday 26/02/2012. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It's not bigger than a FA Cup final but it's still a major cup final. Imagine it if we won against Liverpool at Wembley, seeing Cardiff City lift a major trophy, it would be unbelieveable. No pressure on us as we're massive underdogs. Can't wait. :ayatollah:

No chance this competition is regarded by most teams as a practice competition for their reserves.
