I just read on the other board that in last nights trust meeting he told everyone that his 4 year old son is a cardiff city supporter. (hope he's not just pleasing the audience)
He is the one man in recent history with no previous connection to wales or cardiff city who absolutely loved the club.
Could you imagine jay or chops bringing up their kids to be city fans?
Kav was and still is a city legend

I think you'll find Darren purse is another with a City son, another real nugget and one of us for life.

I didn't realise that Gwyn. It's great to see that there are still a handful of players who can still form a specail affinity with their former clubs.
How old is purse's lad? One thing i find amazing about kav's kid is that he wasnt even born when kav was wearing the city shirt.

A real gentleman and a great servant to our club. The tears he shed when he left us were genuine. He only retired fairly recently but he was old school in his approach to the game. He had a great connection with the supporters and lots of footballers these days lack his qualities. Ooh aah Graham kavanagh

Met him last night at the DVD signing and he was saying to a couple of guys in front about his boy.
Also asked how long had the Goalkeeper been at Carlisle after the other night - Kav said 2 years - was then tempted to ask was he, the goalie, related to Bywater - thought better of it!!!

When we constantly have a go at players who have no heart or are just here for the money i will always think back to Kav and how he left our Club. And when he could of scored against us he passed to another player so he didnt have to do it .

Gwyn, Darren Purse is Millwall through and through and his father was one of the original F troop lads in the 70's. His son is Blue, but Millwall. He is down at Plymouth now, spoke to him recently, there is only one team for him, Millwall, but he has a lot of time for Cardiff.

Kav was part of the team that i really started to follow as i was old enough to go to the games on ym own etc along with scott young, earnie, thorne etc and kavs is one of my all time favourites. broken my heart as a young lad seeing him leave and the tears. my friends grandfather uses the vale together and before he left he was chatting in the sauna with him saying make sure you tell your grandson goodbye from me etc. such a nice bloke he'll always have a lot of time down here
