Give me the days of just turning up on a saturday and getting behind the lads. Or turning up in someones town centre and getting on it. As much an important part of the day than getting 3 points.

I would look forward all week to the match. new clobber a must for any away trip. who cares if the team was shit it wad all about the camaraderie.

Now its all doom and gloom and false expectation. People wanting to know about accounts and political agendas. so f*cking boring. zzzzzz.

Nowadays I barely think about the game til the day before and thats only to make arrangements and half the time git to push myself to go.

I blame Sky tv, the internet, soccer am and phone in radio shows.

I wad watching Spurs at Stevenage earliet and oh i long for the old days.

in the old days city would stick together not grass each other up
having a laugh in the back of a transit van going away

Its funny grew up in the early 80's, naive parents who let 15 year old to Portsmouth, Man city, Bristol, herford. missed a few years rejoined during the eddie may era and drifted out, got married had kids. My 10 year old daughter loves football, city's development came to the school gave her a few £1 tickets in the family end. We started last season and its a totally different vibe nowadays. As a family man do I want the evilness of Ninian Park, do we trade a bit of the atmosphere for cordiality. God a miss Ninian Park it energised you, but would i swap it for the CCS.... No
This is the modern world we aspire to, and thankfully we have a top 6 Championship club that allow you to take you and your kids (2) to see a very high standard of football for £28 so we are not priced out of the game.

The highlight of the old days are great, but the memory does fade out the shit grounds, 20 mile walks from the train station, chasing or being chased, over zealous coppers.
