Howdo lads.
Bolton fan in peace here.
I'm going to the match with my missus at the end of the month and wonder if I could pick your brains about the match?
I know they are on open sale, but does anyone know if we can pay on the night for tickets? How much are they?
We are staying in city centre - is it better to go to a boozer near the station or near the ground, any recommendations? (I like a decent real ale, non of that fizzy lager shíte)
Is that Hooters bar in Cardiff any good?
Cheers
Squidgy

Personally I would buy the tickets before hand, no idea how many are sold so far but it saves considerable time on the day. I'm buying 5 tomorrow for me and friends.
As your in the town centre I would stay and drink in town, nothing by the ground that's worth visiting. Few decent pubs in canton which is a 5/10min walk.
Hooters is still open

I'm bringing my missus, that's very much a work in progress. Bringing her away for a few days in for our anniversary and taking a match in is already pushing it

If you like you beer don't go to hooters, it's shite!!!

Plenty of city centre hotels available and either drink in City centre or Canton area where the stadium is , regular trains from Cardiff Central to Grangetown which is about a 15 min walk to stadium and pubs . Ninain Park station will be closed for 1 hour after the game so we use Grangetown . Im sure the ticket office will be open on the night too .

Hooters Cardiff isn't the best mate
Best pubs will be in Canton before the game
With regards to restaurants, Cardiff Bay is a nice place to visit
Just ask a local and they will direct you etc (but not Dai Hunt)

If you're an ale drinker, go to The Cornwall on Cornwall Street in Grangetown, not far from the stadium. It's a proper football fans' pub and they do decent food and drink in there.
The tickets are only £10 each and you can order from Cardiff City FC ticket office on 0845 345 1400 or just buy them on the night.

I wouldnt leave it until the day of the game mate, The press will start building up to it, and I imagine it will be full (Hopefully)
Like others have said best restaurants down cardiff bay and if your here for a few days, fair bit to do there.

Thanks for all the replys lads.
I may give Hooters a miss now!! That Cornwall pub may get a bit of passing patronage though
Cardiff bay has been recommended before so I'll try and swing by it in the afternoon when we get there (we are staying somewhere else for a couple of days and just going to Cardiff for the day of the match).
I'll be the one cheering on Costa Rica in a Bolton top stood near the BWFC 'London Whites' flag

It is cruel that it is on the anniversary of the date we got spanked by Boro in the Carling Cup final though (even managed to coincide it with a bloody leap year!!).
I don't have particularly fond memories of my last trip there!

Bloody hell, and I thought Bolton ticket office were bad at picking up the phone!!! That's 20minutes of my life out of the window!
Anyone know if I can buy them online without any purchasing history?
Quite fancy sitting in the away end for this if there is one, not sure if they allow internet bookings for that either.

https://www.eticketing.co.uk/cardiffcit ... emref=3358You cant book the away end on here.
The Canton end (105 & 106) are standing areas and home to the more passionate fans. Not for the feint of heart, some of the smells at the back of the stand sometimes....

Squidgy 16,000 have been sold so far. If you want to buy your tickets before hand and get them sent up to you, you can order off this site:
https://www.eticketing.co.uk/cardiffcit ... emref=3358I recommend either the Canton stand or the Ninian stand, don't bother with the Grange
Here's the availability so far

The 3 three minute Wembley intro sent me around the bend three times.
I'm going to turn up in a Bolton top and a poncho and demand my own end

Cheers Ryhs, I'll give it a whirl.

You're quite brave, as someone said above, 105/106 is where 95% of the die hard, passionate Wales fans stand. Also where all the atmosphere is generated! Enjoy the game
