Time To Move On

Wed Feb 15, 2012 9:49 am

The Ayatolla - Pathetic, ridiculed by other clubs fans and so f*cking cringeworthy asking the players and manager to 'do it' repeatedly (I'm sure they think so as well) .

Singing Bob Marley and sister act songs on the terraces -

Constantly moaning about sitting down, standing up, stewards doing their jobs, lack of atmosphere etc etc - Just an idea here but what about going to a football match to watch a football match.

Bring back the old stuff - Kaordiff, You are my Cardiff ETC.

Hey, but that's just my opinion.

It's rare in football to have something original to call your own, especially now a days where everyone had the same songs and all the same tunes for their other songs. Getting rid of the ayatollah would be getting rid of one of the few things we have that no one else has. As for being embarrassed because away fans ridicule it, are you a 9 year old? Who gives two shits what anyone else thinks?

And 3 little birds sounded excellent against Leicester when the whole song was being sung.

Agree with Rita.
Malky must get fed-up with the constant requests.
As for Vuckic - it was a fuuny chant - but then he tapped his ears, not his head!

It would be nice if you spelt Ayatollah correctly before trying spout criticism. There are very few things that separate us from other clubs as our chants are very similar and the Ayatollah is unique to us. Whether you like it or not we are universally known for the Ayatolla and it is now firmly part of our history.Although there may be individuals that don't like it, I can assure you that they are in the minority as can be demonstrated by the numerous fans who participate in the chant. It also brings us closer and strengthens our bond with the manager and the players so long may it continue.

Rita Pidsdale - f**k off you boring prick
Football wouldnt be the same without an atmosphere and its miserable bastards like you who are killing the atmosphere. If you want to sit there and be a boring tw*t and not say a word then fine. But dont just spout negative bullshit towards fans who want to create an atmosphere.
The ayatollah is one of the most iconic chants in football, like how Man City have recently started doing the Poznan, it looks amazing as everyone is doing it at the same time, just like the ayatollah when people actually used to do it

Rita sorry mate I cannot agree at all. You say the :ayatollah: is outdated but you are my Kairdiff is an old one as well. Other supporters have never taken the piss it is ours and we are known for it.

As for "Three little Birds" when it it is sang with a verse then its pure quality. With the drum its to slow and when its just two lines its sounds as if it runs out of steam. And yes we need to work on it.

But where has the wittiness gone out of chanting ? When we went to Reading we had a good range of songs and at times we were witty, But i can say to you "You've only got two songs you've only got two songs"

Sorry Jack didn't realise you were only 16. I've spent more time queuing for programmes on city away trips than you've spent watching City.

Why would new fans or 'plastics' not like the ayatollah?

Also what's wrong with new fans? The more the better if we ever want to become a bigger club
