good news for us actually

because i imagine he will report back that most of our play went through "the big lad up front", Rudy Gestede to you and i, who probably wont even play in the Carling Cup final :ayatollah:

i also expect us to play a different formation to today with Vuckic ineligible and McPhail (if fit) coming back in :ayatollah:

so hopefully he will not report back anything useful :ayatollah:

I dont think it matters what he reports back no matter what we play on the day it will not make any diffrence it will be wave after wave of them while we sit on the edge of are box ,but it is a day out after all :ayatollah:

i completely disagree with that

i think Liverpool are a decent side but by no means a great one, and i think Whittingham will have a huge influence on the game, we will try to play our stuff and certainly not sit on the edge of the box all game, but rather have a go at Liverpool and create a chance or two of our own :ayatollah:

but we will see who's right on the day huh ;)

i predict a 1-0 win for either team, but i'm gonna go for a Whittingham set-piece to win it for us in extra time :D :ayatollah:

We won't win, but I'm going to use a cliché here  It'll be closer than people think  It'll probably be a two-goal defeat in all seriousness though, but we'll give a good enough account of ourselves, I'm sure.

i think it'll be a 1-0 win for either side, and in predicting that Cardiff will win 1-0 with Whittingham scoring, im just optimistically punting, because i genuinely believe this game could go either way :ayatollah:

i dont think Liverpool are a particularly good side

Yeah, that's the biggest disappointment with British football I guess, you never see the underdogs win. Oh well I bow to his superiority

I admire your optimism  Normally I'm of the same disposition, but Liverpool are a top 6 Premier League side; potentially a top 4 one, and most teams would find it difficult against them, never mind us. But as it's a cup final, 'anything is possible' I guess

I agree though; they're not a particularly great side, but they defeated the richest club on Earth to get to the final, so I don't think we should be underestimating them too much

After looking at http://www.flickr.com/photos/joncandy/s ... 4185/show/ the 9th picture shows Clarke and Kevin Keen on his right, another of Liverpool's number-one coaches.

If Liverpool set up to stop us playing then there is something wrong ! With the players they have surely they will expect to win regardless of how we line up ?

Re: Liverpool had us watched tonight....

liverpool are vunerable from set pieces, i feel this could be the key.

they will obviously have loads of possession so i feel we will need a five man midfield.. if suarez plays i expect them to get in behind us abit more. but if they go with carroll then i feel turner can match up to him..

Liverpool will let us play.

Thats gives us a hell of a chance.

If our defenders and defensive midfielders play out of their skins to
deny them space....

Of course we have a chance!!

i think they might to.. liverpool are happy for other teams to have the ball... look at bolton though, they got at them, panicked them at the back and caused them all sorts of problems.

Clarke won't lose much lose sleep after watching City constantly give the ball away, pass to the opposition, lose 50/50 balls and have 2 strikers who couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo. Let's face it for 30 minutes City were dreadful.

Now if City had done the simple things better, and it would not have been hard to do against a spirited but limited Posh team, and won 7 or 8-0 as they should have done then he may have had Daglish in for a crisis meeting this morning.

Delighted to be back on the winning trail but miss chances like those last night, and pass the ball to Ipswich players and we'll be coming back empty handed.

i dont think kenny missed any simple chances, a few were on his left foot and one brought and excellent save from their keeper.

he also had 3 defenders bearing down on him forcing him to rush the one opportunity and he pushed it wide again with his left foot. i agree rudy needs to work on his shooting but i think kenny is a great finisher.

It's a one off game, remember last years Carling cup final, remind me who won that, oh yes it was lowly Birmingham against the mighty Arsenal and oh yes didn't Birmingham get relegated also??? You never know what could happen. I always want my team to win, Cardiff City, whoever they play and will never write them off. Rant over :D

Should imagine that after Rudy's superb performance last night (Yes I know he missed some good chances), Dalglish will be on the phone asking to do a swap for Andy Carroll! :)
