The following was an e-mail I received in response to the complaints made to the Press Complaints Commission regarding coverage of the death of Mikey Dye.
"I am writing further to your correspondence with the Press Complaints Commission in regard to coverage of the death of Michael Dye.
As I explained previously, at the time of Mr Dye’s death we proactively contacted his family through the appropriate authorities to make them aware of the PCC and our services. As a result, Mrs Nathalie Dye, Mr Dye’s widow, made formal complaints to the Commission against the Daily Mail and The Sun.
These complaints have now been resolved. The Daily Mail removed coverage from Mail Online about which Mrs Dye had raised concerns and published an apology to the family with the following articles that remain online:

The complaint against The Sun was resolved on the basis of a private apology by the newspaper to Mrs Dye for having caused her upset.
The outcome of both complaints are recorded on the PCC website here:

Thank you for writing to us about this matter. Please do not hesitate to contact us again in future if you think we may be able to assist you.
With best wishes,
