Why are people blaming the club

Mon Feb 13, 2012 12:55 pm

there was a huge and frankly completely unnecessary rush for tickets yesterday. The only thing the club is guilty of is expecting most fans to have common sense and buy their tickets over the full week we have. Even with how things have been in the past I still can't get over why anyone found it necessary to stand for five hours or more in the cold yesterday.

I work all week and Sunday was the only day I could get down there. Is that ok with you?

Why do you have to go to the club? You can do it online 24 hours a day and there's a 24 hour phone line.

because that's been working great!

knew there would be problems, safest option is the old fashioned way.

I just expected it tbh.
They can do the blame game but it's down to Cardiff City to get this right.

The only reason there were problems is because people were rushing. If more held off until later in the week then there would be no problem. None of the problems I have heard have been down to the club but down to fans that simply can't use a bit of the old grey matter.

Can't blame the club for a big big company like ticketmaster f*cking up!

The club doesn't have facilities to do it on their own, can you imagine the ticket office trying to deal with it all?

They should have done practice runs with ticketmaster and made sure everything was perfect weeks ago.
It seems the ticket staff did well but the management has to be questionable

Apparently they did, the last trial run was on saturday. All went well.

Well it should have been tested more thoroughly then, seems very easy to black ticketmaster to me.
They should have tested it Monday, Wednesday and then Saturday to iron out any problems of which there were clearly many.

Only so many trial runs you can do, if they are all fine, then on the day something goes wrong, how can CCFC be to blame? If during testing there were issues and CCFC still went ahead then yes i would blame them, but that was'nt the case.

REASONS I QUEUED FOR 5 AND A HALF HOURS YESTERDAY.
1. Phone is useless.
2. Don't trust the website and after all the complaints looks like I was right.
3. Had to get 14 tickets and we all want to sit together.
4. Wanted to make sure I got the £40 tickets and I noticed a few posts saying they're virtually sold out now.

I gotta be honest, i queued yesterday for 5 hours and had a good laugh with the people around us.....especially laughing at people who thought they could just wander onto the pitch without a care in the world....until a booming godlike voice echoed from the tannoy to put them right.

Did mine online last night, took no time at all and got what I wanted :ayatollah:

Re: Why are people blaming the club

People work, not everyone is on line, not everyone can afford the more expensive tickets "the cheapest go first " people might want to sit in a group, a bird in the hand is worth two in the tree, you may want to book a bus or hotel and feel more comfy doeing so after you have a ticket, if I sub contracted a transport job out and a delivery didn't get there it would still be my fault . So maybe all those fans were using their grey matter but they were using it how they want to :old:

Well I dont know what the problem was but if they tested them Monday then whatever the problems we had Sunday would have been seen on the Wednesday.
Anyway we wont ever know it seems but I expected it to happen. The ticket office will always find a way to cock things up.
