Buying tickets when unable to get 2nd ticket at present

Why did so many buy the one ticket then have a moan about when they buy a 2nd ticket it won't be beside them.
Why not just wait until the problem is fixed. We all know it's not ideal but to still buy one and know the other is going to be in a different row or whatever borders on sheer stupidity. I'm buying for me and my 5 year old son, there is not a hope in hell I am going to buy tickets apart from each other.
Hardly rocket science.

I haven't even thought about getting my tickets yet tbh. I haven't even decided if I will use the extra ones
