right we all know and lets be totally honest, swansea have over taken us, on the pitch, and now off it too. they are playing like an established prem team, with championship players, and are playing exciting football regardless if they dont score enough.
us on the other hand, seem to be struggling with "exciting football" however we have been getting results, however, we seem to only be getting our goals from two places, whittingham and miller, and both score 1 in about 10 goals. we got the likes of earnie however malky's "dave jones" arrogance in playing earnie has us looking elsewhere for a scorer.
now apprently we "offered £3m on marvin sordell" no-1 else seemed to fitt out plans, however billy sharpe went for less than £2m. hes got ability and the attitude so i am unsure if the boards really splashing out the big cash.
i wonder if we do get to the promised land, could we hold our own ? i feel we got the right manager and a decent team, however i feel 4-5-1 lacks us goals, and we still conceed.
now our stadium, and lets all be honest may aswell all have a crow and a cross, as its a deadplace now, teams no longer fear playing at cardiff and rather enjoy it due to the away fans making more noise than ours.
so what can we expect if we do reach the premiership.........(this is not meant to be negative, and as annis always say's i am only trying to get a debate going here, on what we can realisitically achieve)

Personally I feel there are a few premeir clubs that would struggle in the championship.

I've mentioned in a previous post that I am underwhelmed by the Premier League, it's good for the club financially, and I'm pleased that we got there don't get me wrong, but... The hype is far too much, overpriced, sanitized, media friendly nonsense. There are a lot of things that I miss about the championship.
As for emulating us, absolutely no reason why you shouldn't, it's not all it's cracked up to be. Once again though, I would love to see a South Wales derby being screened all over the world, one estimate when we played Man United was around half a billion people worldwide watching, mind boggling!

As others have said, i think the premier league is overrated. i dont think anybody expected norwich to stay up this year and all they really did was sign championship players.
Secondly, why does everyone think that if one club have a bid accepted then we match it, that player will come to us. Leicester (the man city of the championship) were after billy sharp yet he ended up going to Southampton! Why? Probably cos he played under adkins at scunthorpe and wanted to play for him again.
What i'm trying to say is, there is much more to securing a transfer than just meeting the asking price.

As much as I would like us to get to the premiership I do feel it will be a let down when we do get there. Your description of the hype about sums it up perfectly.
Without doubt the league would benefit with a local South Wales derby.
