" BLOODY HELL "

Leicester away.

Just watched us get run ragged on the football league show. It was all one way traffic

I thought Millers goal was ok, but if it had been given it was totally against the run of play. If we had lost by 5 or 6 today, we could not have argued.

Midfield, where was it ?
Defence all over the place.
Attack, where was it ?
Marshall did well. :ayatollah:

As I mentioned in the match report Annis, I saw some fans leave at half time to go to the pub.......can you blame them?

It was bad Ian and worse than your text to me, but I still wouldn't leave the match after travelling all that way.

All that was going through my mind was: Is this the team i've been watching? When you look at our performance against Reading last month and compare it to todays, your looking at 2 completely different teams. The last 2 games have been just players not talking to eachother and poor defending.
Teacups must have been thrown...

From the highlights,Marshall looked like our MOM :ayatollah:

Agree with Millers goal looked ok...but where was the after match views on this from the BBC

Doesn't make pretty viewing to be fair. How many times was Whitts pickpocketed in those highlights???

It was painfull viewing, I can see why people left. At least it cant get any worse so onwards and upwards.

Gerrard - is it just me

Sun Feb 12, 2012 1:24 am

I have been thinking about Gerrard lately on the back of shipping so many goals of late. I haven't heard many people commenting on him so thought it must be just me.

I was expecting Hudson back today and when I heard he wasn't I was decided not to listen to the game as suspected it wouldn't go well. If you looked at those highlights carefully, Gerrard was all over the place, failing to tackle and giving the ball away. If Hudson is not fit on Tuesday then I think its time for Blake to be given a chance along Turner

The highlights were difficult viewing.

(Kenny's disallowed goal must have been a tight offside - I thought he might have been on)

I can see why (lazy) reporters & pundits keep on saying our minds are on the Carling Cup final etc but I disagree.

We're just going through a dodgy run of form... which SHOULD be put to bed on Tuesday with three points.

Tuesday has now become a must win game, the teams around us have caught up and hopefully Malky will want to put yesterdays' performance to bed with an improvement and 3 points to keep the pressure on, with any luck we'll have a couple of new faces and Hudson and Gunnar back in :ayatollah:

Although Leicester dominated the game yesterday they still needed 2 set pieces to undue us and I don't know if that is credit to our defence or discredit to Leicester forwards.

The more worrying statistic from that game is that for the first time I can remember we failed to have a single attempt on target that counted, penalties do not as attempts on target, the last time we had anything similar was away at Stoke City on 28th November 2006 when we had only 1 on target attempt.

For me Leicester met the right team on the right day yesterday as I think we have our sights firmly on the League Cup Final and no amount of denial from the club will convince me otherwise. I thought as much when I had an email asking if I wanted to attend a celebration dinner, BEFORE THE CUP FINAL, at the CCS. Celebrate WHAT? Cup Final appearances are a party for the day but the real bread and butter has to be the League.

For me I wish this Cup Final was Tuesday night and we could get it behind us because our League form is suffering and you just cannot sugar coat a performance where you do not have a single attempt on target.

I wasn't shocked Annis because I think we have taken our eye off the ball and right now it's more important to organise a Celebration Dinner than get the mentality of the team right, and that disappoints me.

What worries me is what is going to happen against Peterborough and Ipswich because losing both those games, which given the 2nd half against Southampton, Blackpool and Leicester is a real possibility would be hugely damaging to our season. Momentum is everything in football and at this moment in time we have little. Peterborough is a must win game now.

I think we made Leicester look better than they are and there is absolutely no getting away from the fact that no attempts on target in 90 minutes is desperately poor.

Big test of MM man management to get our players out of this drop in form, but I have more faith in him doing that than I ever would in Dave Jones.

Sadly another chance of a good record went by the way side on Saturday, but it was the manner in which they lost the game. Malky needs to take control again and remind them that they have to fight again. But what worries me more is the lack of quality in the squad ? We have to beat Posh and at least draw at Ipswich. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Re: " BLOODY HELL "

What will interest me the most on Tuesday Annis is how we set up for the game, in particular upfront, as last week MM said Earnie was unlucky at the moment to be out of the side but the form of Miller and Mason was doing just that.

The last few games KM has not been at his best and may need a rest and I would like us to start with Earnie and Gestede, forget this 4-5-1 and have a go at winning with style. Gunnarson is unlikely to play as I cannot see us risking him so I would go with Whitts and Kiss CM and Vuckic and Conway wide. Cowie has played virtually every minute this season and he could do with a rest as well.

We must beat Peterborough and right now I think Earnie maybe just a little angry about not being given a chance for the last few months, remember he scored one and set one up at West Brom, so it's still very much there and unlike KM he doesn't need 10 attempts at goal to score.

Definately Earnie time for me and that would give KM a rest before the CC Final. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

of course you can blame them, you support your club through thick and thin, not based on how well theyre playing!

especially a team that always fights and gives 100% like ours does this season!

Having a personal dislike of a manager doesn't mean he is/was a bad manager. Liking a manager also does not make that manager a better manager than Dave Jones. It was the players who were at fault at Leicester and because of your 'Malky love in' you have accepted that fact and no criticism of the manager. If Dave Jones was still here you would have just absolutely slated him and would not have blamed the players. I suspected all along that your slating of Dave Jones was more personal than anything. My guess is that when he joined us you thought you would be able to befriend him but Dave Jones probably made it quite clear that he had no time for becoming friends with so called 'high profile in the know' fans who thought that because that's how things were when Hammam was at the club then that's how things should always be. Dave Jones is better and bigger than that.
