Been a lurker on here since I came down your place....but after the last month or so I have to ask what happened with Ledley at Cardiff and how was he allowed to leave on a bosman? The guy started of well with us, but recently he's really stepped it up...the guy is awesome. Future Celtic captain is the talk here and he is quickly getting legendary status here. Lennon has our midfield workinng as hard as i've ever seen, he is heading away corners then scoring/setting up goals 30 seconds later.
The guy is Cardiff daft, if it was the other way around and we let a true celt of his quality go on a bosman there would be war here. What happened?

The standard isn't great I know, but he is playing in very good side just now (16 wins in a row) and better players than Ledley have failed in Glasgow. You have to win every game and trophy, even in the Champions League we expect to beat everyone at home, it's not easy and very high preassure.
I don't want to lose him, but like I said I think he will return....and when he does i'll bump this thread and you can all tell me i'm right

No offence but Rangers have dominated up here in recent years and it's taken a major crisis at Ibrox for Celtic to start "competing" with them again. Even at the start of the season fans wondered if Lennon was the right man for the job having had long enough to put a stamp on the team. One of the Old Firm's problems is they still expect to beat everyone at home including in Europe when the truth is you aren't as good as many of these teams and when you do crash in Europe(more often than not) it's treated as the death knell for Scottish football once again. Granted you do pull of some results, but your own pressure does your teams no favours.
Is he playing in a very good side or is he playing against some very poor sides? I've seen Aberdeen play Rangers, Hibs, St. Johnstone, Inverness & Dundee United and they have been some of the worst team displays I think I've ever witnessed. There is more fight in the current Clydebank team whose weekly wage together is less than most SPL players weekly packet and there is much more entertainment for my fiver.
Back to topicthere is no doubting Joe is a good player and I've seen his articles in the Record etc about his time at Cardiff & feelings for the club. for the sake of his career, he needs to challenge himself at higher standard - only then will we know how good he is.

Like Lennon says, he seems a right family man and not interested with the celebrity status that comes with it... If he ever leaves I only want it to be to Cardiff, no-one could blame him...losing him to an EPL or european team would be hard to take

Around the time it was reported that Roma and someone else had offered him more. He is loving his football, but like I said no real fan can hold a grudge for a player wanting to play for the team he loves.

Thats true to a sense but it was Celtic that was the only real offer for him, Ive no quarms with Joe being at Celtic as its a wonderful club. Like most I hate all the shite that goes on with the fans but thats nothing to do with Joe going there and yeah he is happy but if he had the opportunity to come home he would, thats the nature of the beast to want to be home.

The other stuff is a social issue that shows itself through the football, the powers here should be educating kids from a school age about the dangers and ridiculous nature of it all. Blaming the clubs is just a way of looking like they are doing something, whilst in actual fact, doing nothing.
Money is the only barrier i'd say, I have no idea what he could be worth now? Some of our other midfield players are banded around the 8-10 million mark, and Ledley is one of the better ones....
