Possibly Annis, it could also be that they have Wembley on their minds. The official line is always focus on your next game but it would be only natural to have Wembley on their minds. Today's result will be interesting, coming off a home loss to Blackpool. Blackpool are no mugs but 1-0 up with 15 mins to go, you would have hoped for better. Our defence must be on top of their game over the next few months. Hopefully another signing today will help bolster the squad. Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, I have been proud of this City side. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I thought they,d ran out of steam around christmas games.
They've been hanging on through Jan for re-enforcement s
and nobody came in. I think some of them have gone flat now.

Great effort be the players -though opportunity missed this season.
Everyone knows how to play us and still no front man in the hole
Behind or to help little miller

The instrument is blunt at the end
Get it sharpened and we can cut through

I honestly believe they have run out of steam and the writing was on the wall weeks ago.

Couldn't agree more. We have been punching above our weight far too long due to the fantastic team spirit and work rate in the squad. We still lack pace and width desperately and an experienced target man.

At Watford boxing day we looked shot then to my pleasant surprise we were awesome against Reading after that. Doncaster away was even worse that Watford and so the trend has continued.

Did the board expect us to be this high up at this point? Probably not but the fact is we are here so when the chance presents itself you grab it with both hands. In January we did f**k all business now whether that is the board or Malky's fault I don't know but a major black mark against us. Everyone around us added quality to kick on whereas we are now going backwards.

Kenny, Gunnarson, Taylor, Whitts, Cowie look completely knackered and have done for some weeks.

It is so frustrating and I am praying big reinforcements are on their way this week as we have been sussed with this 4-5-1 for some time now. Also the substitutions have become very predictable of late.

Time to get Earnie involved? I think so Kenny needs a rest

I hope to be proved wrong but feel we are in freefall.... :ayatollah:

Been saying this for 5-6 weeks annis to ne honest and got slated for it off many people on here and called all sorts and its showing now,you only have to look at results and the performance to prove this.We have been playing poor for ages now but getting results somehow in games in the past now we are not getting the results with more poor showings so everyone notices the performances more then, here is what ive seen over the last5-6 weeks.

Vs Doncaster 1-1 (Away)
played terrible with the old hoofball past are five in midfield with 3shots on goal the whole game how we even got a point from this i have no idea but they was just as bad as us thank god.

Vs pompey 3-2 (Home)
2-0 down and come back to win 3-2 it was a miracle to be honest but we put away the little clear cut chances we had even though i thought we was very poor on the day with again the hoofball past are five in midfield but we got a result somehow.

Vs Saints 1-1 (Away)
First half i thought we done well we was on top but still only 2 shots on goal over 94mins.The 2nd half was a total reverse they was hammering us all over the park and attack after attack which ended up with them getting a pen from a dodgy McNaughton handball (never a pen to start with) but the ref bottled it as there fans got on his back,Due to others being waved away. The game continued as the saints dominated and we was well lucky to come out the game with a draw with the chances they had marshall played well for once, still a poor showing from us 2nd half,we looked knacked after 45mins.

Vs blackpool 1-3 (Home)
Blackpool better side for most of the match if im being honest but we was 1-0 up with 15mins to go,super kev got taken off darcy come on and matt phillips ran riot with him but holloway bringing on bednar+kevin phillips made the diffrence and the last 15mins showed us this for all to see.It was hoofball to there center halfs missing are whole midfield, nobody picking up 2nd balls, shit defending but overall another tired performance with 5 shots the whole game vs blackpools 16.

Vs leicester 2-1 (Away)
What can i say we done nothing at all hoofball and hope ZERO shots on target but we had a few corners. They was all over us for 95mins they had 17 attempts on goal which was always going to win vs nothing comming from us at all bar long balls from which was missing are midfield, honestly they might aswell have have not been there.Tired call it what you want but it wasnt good enough i know that.It was a really bad performance.

So we got 5 points from 15 available but these results show how bad we have been performing, you could go as far as saying doncaster and saints plus Pompey could have turned us over which would have left us with ZERO points and not many city fans would of argued them results going off are showings in them games,we been really lucky over the last 5-6weeks.If city fans think im being negative so be it as this is what it is.Im glad we are up near the top but i said 5-6 weeks back its down hill from here and got ripped apart for it  .If teams with there games in hand win then we will be 8th this time wendesday morning.I couldnt give to shites about are CUP FINAL it means nothing to me even if we was somehow to win it i would trade these 15points we could have had for it within a second for the dream to ticket to prem :ayatollah:

Ok I predict that at some point in the future we will be relegated from a league.

That's obviously going to happen but it's not going to happen any time soon. Exactly the same as the people who have been moaning for months about the city.

Totally agree, we've more or less peaked out now but Ive said all along we are no more than a top 10 team and if we finish 10th Id be happy.

Yeah Like I said ,we can only judge Malky at the end of the season and made the point about Watford slide last season

Join the Club mate, but when I posted that a few weeks ago I got the usual nonsense of what game was I watching, do I go and watch the games at all . We've been poor since Christmas bar Reading, but have some how dug out results to hide how poor we've been , that hasn't been the case of late though.
Funny if this was Dave Jones he be slagged off to the high heavens with his bunch of bottlers running out of Steam. Lets just hope this a blip and all will come good after Wembley

Yeah, but I'm thinking the players will now react and put in a decent shift tomorrow tbh and they simply have too , because we have been simply terrible the last few games
