A CALL OF ARMS

Mon Feb 22, 2010 4:40 pm

Its time to stop having pops at each other , its crisis time big time , yes many like a bicker especially when you have so many human differences etc, but one thing everyone has in common is they spend their hard earned money and give their time to the support of a football club that is being raped, robbed, pillaged, and mugged and nearly killed by a bunch of highway robbing bandits who lie constantly to those above.

ITs time for everybody to get together wheter you dislike others not and fight for the survival of Cardiff City. Get behind the demos.

Now you are talking....... :)

That REALLY WOULD get national and regional media coverage - Especially with the story there is to tell (without the Lawyers being able to touch it based on the facts that can be contained that are undisputable). Get Since 62 to write it :ayatollah:

With Echo owners Trinity Mirror having dozens of UK titles including 'Nationals' The Daily Mirror and The Daiy Record as well as Regional titles covering areas such as Yorkshire (Leeds be interested anyone? ), Midlands, North East, North West, Scotland, The South and London, I can't see any Title that would pass on the opportunity to run a story on the Advert and the 'Live the Dream' chairman who has NOT been 3rd time lucky....
http://www.trinitymirror.com/

Best of all, one full page Echo advert will surely get full media coverage (Talksport, Radio Wales, 5Live, Sky Sports, Wales Today....Even Terry Phillips might write an article on it!!) All this leading up to the Demo date, never mind the coverage of the actual Demo itself.........

Think it may be time for an Ebay item to be set up to gather 'donations' to pay for the Ad via Paypal contributions maybe?

I anticipate a certain person shaking in his R8 cockpit already at the mere thought of it!!!!!!!

Re: A CALL OF ARMS

Like the idea of an advert in the echo. The Riddler will not like that.

Well Done Steve lets keep everyone together and stop the bitching.

Riddler won't see it to not like it.

Hands up all those who really believe the Echo would print a full page ad, knowing full well retributions will occur against them by the club?

Annis/Steve,
That in itself is news worthy - How's this as a starter for ten before a penny has been spent?

"A Cardiff City Supporters Group disgruntled at the way their club is being run, have booked a full Page newspaper 'expose' and demonstration advert to run later this week. Despite the the cost of placing such an advert, it will run should their controversial Chairman Peter Ridsdale not resign at this Wednesday's EGM being held against a backrop of mounting debts, HMRC winding up orders and where a motion of no confidence by shareholders will be tabled"

Now that is real Demo advertising :ayatollah:

Right, what's Talksport, Sky Sports and The Daily Mirror contact adresses :D :D

Daya, it would seem some City fans are intent on keeping a divide.

I posted the demo details on the other board thinking get as many as possible there and bear in mind when i posted it I wasnt asking for debate on it, it was merely informative if they wanted to attend they could, instead what happened a few on there decided to shoot it down with comments like " no thanks id rather be in the pub" and pick holes in the demo, Why these people feel incapable of just accepting a different view is beyond me, if they didnt like the subject of a demo just ignore it rather than make snidey remarks.

Im in full agreement with your message though City fans needs to be united now or the harsh reality is this club is heading towards administration and we see a richer Ridsdale sail off back to Yorkshire unscathed from it all.

Well so it seems the "other" board are quite happy to sit on their arses and watch the club just dwindle away in front of their eyes - the club can do without these fans - let them sup up.
DO NOT waste time your time on their negative attitudes GET to the fansd that want to support the demo - hit the friends and familes of us all - support is what we need not sarcasm.

Debate doesn't really exist here, does it?

The fact is the Rhooster's demo idea is getting plenty of support on the other board, but that doesn't rate a mention.

We on this board have gone past debating - that has been done a lot over the last few months the different conversations held now the ones that want to support and demo WILL the ones that don't - won't - simple as.

No one is being forced to do anything but the ones that feel strongly of the actions of the board and PR over the months now feel the time has come to stop being sssssssssssh'd!

TLG this is not a debate thread this is an informative thread for people that want to be invovled - simple really :)

Re: A CALL OF ARMS

Mon Feb 22, 2010 6:43 pm

I think 6 people made comments not fully supporting the demonstration...6 out of 7126 registered users. Not worth worrying about...I have long since learned that you will never please all the people all the time...it is impossible...

Do what you think is the best course of action and promote it the best way that you can..then fans will decide if they want to join in or opt out....

There are still many fans who don't want an EGM or if there is one they do not want any awkward questions asked....mad I know....

look at this post off the official site...(written by an employee of CCFC... :D IT MUST HAVE BEEN) IT IS ABOUT THE rIDSDALE INTERVIEW ON BBC

Joined the talk this lunchtime about clubs in debt following a debate on Portsmouth, talked about the Cardiff situation.

Confident of tax being paid off. Some has been paid off already which is why they extended our deadline 28 days.

Also confident of external investment (that had been expected over Christmas) will arrive by the Summer.

Criticised the fans (briefly) saying he wouldn't be pressured into "chasing the dream" as he did at Leeds by spending money the club doesn't have and whatever fans say with money being owed elsewhere the club won't put money raised through club finances on the squad. He said the current way of "bargain buys" and selling for "significantly more" is a good way to aid the clubs financial situation as well as help the squad grow - saying the way the team has progressed over the last few years is proof this works both financially improving the club and improving the playing staff on the pitch.

Stated we're not in a dire situation. We haven't borrowed a penny since he took over and have no bank overdraft to pay.

Interesting talking about yo-yo clubs making use of promotion/relegation clauses in contracts that players are happy to agree to. Clubs below (ie us) can't offer that as no recent promotion history, and clubs like Southampton and Leeds can't do it as players don't expect them to struggle, and thats why they've been killed on lack of relegation clauses. He said this tier system exaggerates the parachute payment problem in limiting who can realistically compete every season to be in the Premiership.

Good interview overall. Tried typing up bits as he spoke. He sounded really honest and calm. Happy to talk about his Leeds mistakes, and confident Cardiff are going about things in the right way. Fair play to him, he's sticking by his guns. I said from day 1 I'd give him my last pound and feel confident he'd look after it, and whatever people say I still feel this. I'd rather an honest man sticking to his guns and moving the club forwards, than a shady person we don't know who never shows his face but 'promises' millions. Look at Notts County's 5 year Premiership plan...
