I had 4 years working with the apache! Awesome simply fecking awsome! You'll never outrun a K1A Hellfire ask the 2 Terry Taliban IED layers that got smashed New Years Day trying to lay IEDs outside a Patrol Base in Nad e Ali. We called direct fire support from 4 Ks away to within 15 m of our own soldiers. Nothing bur praise of the pilots and gunners that fly these awsome machines and it was my honour and privilige to have been the Garrison Sergeant Major at Wattisham the 'home of the apache'.

It does make me wonder sometimes why these religious freaks have a go at some of the most horribly efficient killing machines invented. This a GAU A8 Avenger, a 30mm seven baralled gattling gun, fires something like 1000 rounds a second but so big the yanks built a plane around it, that's where the A10 bit comes in. The plane is an A10 Tank buster, the Warthog, which surpringsly the US was about to retire before the first gulf war as they were going to rely more on drones, although a few Russian bought hideously powerful heavy machine guns put the mockers on that idea.
