So basically it looks like the club have to find players like Joe Mason, for the future.

Makes sense as they will be cheaper, can develop as our own players, and have a sell on fee attached, to help the club financially.
This loan market can upset the squad, and is not always a cheap method of getting players.

Why can't he use the cash he had set aside for transfers in January, there is more than enough there to cover some wages.

Do you get the feeling that players just don't want to come to Cardiff? If not then they must be barking but Noone for example should have jumped at playing for a bigger club.
