I wouldn't have thought so for a season or two at least, then, if we do decide to expand, we find a suitable site nearby to shift the McDonalds too. The McDonalds drive in buildings are pre-fab and I've seen a video where they build one from start to finish in 24 hours, no big issue there. Reading between the lines, the Swans biggest concern here is that they might lose revenue on the stale cold cardboard shite that they call food in the Liberty.
Not the biggest fan of McDonalds by any means but the crap they sell in the Liberty is awful.

am i right in saying that your in the same boat as us with the catering where the lions share of all profits are with the inhouse caterer's.
I think as a club you either need to buy the liberty off the council or just redevelop elswhere if they dont play ball.
the most important factor about the liberty is i dont believe the foundations were put in place to expand the capacity of the stadium to suit your needs.

The expansion plans involve building up behind the existing structure in a similar fashion to the way Manchester United expanded Old Trafford, albeit on a much smaller scale.
I see no need whatsoever to buy the stadium.

If you see no need to buy the stadium are you really expecting swansea council and the local taxpayer to fund the expansion bearing in mind your track record with the rent.
How much do you think it would cost to buy the stadium as it stands.

Wheras if, as mentioned above the land does belong to them then they should be looking to get what they can off it.

Any expansion of the stadium will be paid for by the club, not the council or its taxpayers.
I've mo idea how much it would cost to buy the stadium. I see little benefit to the club in doing so either.
