To say Ferdinand should just forget it just shows the problem that we have. Rascism cannot be tolerated in any shape or form. It merely enforces the bizarre opinions that just because someone is of a different creed or colour they are a lesser human being

If he called him anything abusive that would be fine. However, he deliberately prefaced his abuse with "blacK" which means he was being derogatory purely down to Ferdinand's colour. I was in the army for years so I was called that amongst other things, as I spent a lot of time with English regiments.
I do not see the difference between having Welsh in front of it or not. What about baldy, four eyes, ginger, lanky, short arse, etc etc? I am Welsh and proud of it, I cannot change the fact I am Welsh so I accepted it. Sticks and stones comes to mind. Unless you are over sensitive and /or looking for an excuse. Who knows? You're not grasping the fact that Ferdinand hasn't made any complaint So how can you criticise him for "attention seeking" in your previous post

The police/courts will bring this case and decide on whether the language was appropriate, abusive or rascist but you seem to think that Ferdinand is wrong for allowing himself to be abused despite the fact he knew nothing about it until Terry apologised in the dressing room afterwards.

Terry knew he had done wrong and was backtracking in the hope that Ferdinand wouldn't take it any further. Ferdinand didn't but others did and thankfully, in my opinion, he will now have to accept the consequences of his actions. You're right, there are 2 sides here, and we may or may not agree on things. My point is, why as Ferdinand did not complain (presumably as you say he may have accepted Terry's apology) is it anything to do with a 3rd party who overheard it. If I have a row with the wife and it upsets someone I can be arrested, even if it does not matter to her. We all argue and say things in the heat of the moment, and it is between the 2 people concerned.
