VUCKIC FLIES IN ON MAGPIES LOAN

Cardiff City have this afternoon reached an agreement with Newcastle United to take highly rated 19 year old Slovenian prospect Haris Vuckic on loan for an initial month.

The loan period is set to be activated on Friday February 10th and will take in all Cardiff City's league games up to an including Bristol City away on Saturday March 10th. Haris however will be cup tied for the Carling Cup Final at Wembley due to his substitute appearance against Scunthorpe United in the competition - a match that ran to extra time.


At 6ft 3" Haris is hotly tipped for a big future with Newcastle and can play as an attacking central midfielder or in the number ten striker role.

He is a great player.

He plays in midfield.

Glad he's cup tied though, any loan we get between now and the final, shouldnt even be in the squad for the final, unless injuries change that. Would just think its unfair on the current lads who made it, and have a loanee get a game at wembley but didnt play a part in the run.

Just want to say that you've got a good player on your hands, by far one of our highest rated youngsters and could easily start for one of the lower Prem teams. In my opinion, he works best as an attacking midfielder and not as an out and out striker.

No but Carlos, put it on this forum nearly 2 hrs before the media or Barrie, Carl new at 9am, but waited for the paper work to be done first.

I don't see the benefit of messing the team up for 4 or 5 games. 1 month is a back up loan not an improvement loan. Sorry to be a negative git but its true

Great News about the signing, regarding the 1 month, isn't it possible to set up a further 93 day "emergency" loan say 3 weeks into this loan?
