Got a feeling World War III is brewing

We may look at the 2000's like the 1920's and 30's were viewed. Reading around the subject I feel that we are on a road to a big war. Here are some of the clues I have seen recently.

- Iran attempting to get influence in South America. They have openly courted Venezuela and Argentina and I think it isn't a co-incidence that both have been a little more noisy recently about the Falklands. Might be a case of poking little brother (UK) to annoy big brother (USA). It also gives Iran strike back capability should America attack them which brings me onto my next point

- Iran are clearly attempting to develop a nuclear missile capability. Israel in particular are not keen on that happening, neither are the US. For about 18 months acts of sabotage have been taking place on the Iranian nuclear programme. Whether this is Israel through Mossad or the US through their variety of agencies or even MI6 it is happening. When Iran get to within a couple of months of nuclear power they will be attacked. Iran is not Iraq and will not be an easy enemy to vanquish let alone the problems of occupying that vast country. The tactics that were used in Iraq and have been used extensively in Afghanistan were developed by Iranians. If the UK got involved in any attack /occupation of Iran the numbers of British soldiers killed to date will unfortunately be small in number.

- China have been spending a lot on their military and although still far behind the US are developing rapidly. The weapons they are testing are all designed with American superiority in mind. (Carrier killing missiles, aircraft to counter the F22 etc). The rhetoric used regarding Taiwan is becoming more bullish by the day as is their claims on the waters surrounding their country (annoying Japan quite a bit). This is in their desperation to gain more natural resources a desperation that the US shares.

- Pakistan is openly helping the Taliban in Afghanistan in open defiance of America. This is a risky game on their part but they know that the American appetite for war has decreased massively of late and they are getting away with a lot. They are also baiting India and trying to stop Afghanistan and India forming a relationship post NATO withdrawal.

- Russia is also still very much part of the goings on. They are openly allied to Syria which might be the next flashpoint and also supply materials to Iran.

- Turkey are pushing to make themselves a power player in middle eastern affairs. They are openly critical of Israel and have threatened military intervention on the drilling of gases and oils in waters near Cyprus. This is very awkward for all concerned as Turkey is part of NATO and Russia had a fleet sniffing around the vicinity recently as a show of force.

It's all a bit scary to be honest. As the Earth's natural resources diminish a flashpoint could occur easily which could light the tinderbox to a new World War.

but today all i can say is world war 3 is just minutes away.

Unfortunately the vast majority of the media and the gullable muppets who listen to them and swallow it all as fact cannot even comprehend that a major conflict is on the cards that will effect our very existence. I think weirdly the attempted Calaphit will just stifle a world war as the major players in the world, China, Russia, USA and the EU will actually end up siding with one another as there is nothing more unifying than a shared threat

Being a member of the Armed Forces at a time like this is a little worrying. When I left Sainsburys to join up in September 2001 a mate there who was ex-forces said to me after 9/11 are you sure you want to join up mate this is going to change the world.

I really hope that this is true but I think China in particular are very wary of America's power. To be fair if I was them I would be too. However people are still dealing with America as though Bush is in charge which he isn't and Obama is very different. However, they may argue we are just two years from a Republican America once again.

We are not close to a World War. There has always been tension in the middle east, this is nothing new. The US may go to war with Iran. This should suprise nobody.

This, however, does not mean a World War, nor does it mean a Nuclear War.

I personally think we should keep a closer eye on the Koreas, North Korea has a new leader and possibly willing to throw his weight around and may wish to unite the Korean peninsula and go to war with South Korea, this would drag America and China into a war on opposing sides. I believe Iran would take advantage of this at start increasing power in the Middle East more than likely invading Iraq, this would increase pressure on America. With America struggling with resources Pakistan would lose out on aid and invade India with support from terrorist cells in Afghanistan. China an ally of Pakistan will commit forces to assist Pakistan and will drag Russia an ally of India and worried about China increasing their power to war and will commit forces in defence of India and there you have your World War

Hypothetical situation. This all happens at the same time.

Argentina with the backing of Venezuela (and their bought and paid for armed forces) launch an attack on the Falkands.

Iran launch a pre-emptive strike on Israel. Missiles or troops across the border. Or maybe push across the border into Iraq securing Iraqi oil fields.

China's navy moves south towards the territory that is in currently dispute with Japan and towards Taiwan.

Iran blocks the straights of hormuz.

Pakistan intelligence move into overdrive or even their armed forces into Afghanistan in support of the Taliban.

Too many fires to put out.

It wont go nuclear there's no money in it..... however im sure there will wars about resources oil, gas and the control of those resources why is china and russia backing this syrian govt contracts and agreements...the big boys are carving the world up bound to come to loggerheads eventually

however, one country you missed out was N. Korea. I no that psycho is dead... but will be interesting to see the developments there... as it has been well documented about their testing of naughty missiles and nuclear developments.

If WW3 does kick off the forces should recruit en mass... it would solve the huge unemployment issue in this country!!
