Quite impressive IMO. Dont forget the awful allocation for west ham, and also the criminal ticket prices and harsh treatment at leeds which put a lot of people off :ayatollah:

Peterborough is shocking
Then again, it is Peterborough

Good reading.
I'd have thought more to Derby to be honest, nice ground and not that far.

Cheers for putting this up Rhys, personally I don't think that is good for a team who gets over 22,000 at home games and is 3rd/4th in the league.

Years ago I remember when we were say getting 6,000 at home on a promotion season, we would average then well over a 1,000 at away games.

I love reading crowds.

Does anyone know the other teams average crowds in this division ?

west ham and leeds would have been far better if it weren't for the restrictions.

We have had a very expensive season tho Annis. Especially since after Christmas.

I went to Pompey, Reading, West Brom, Leicester (this saturday) this season.
My first season doing away games and its immense. Im only 15 but I go with 4 people around my age.
I did have no intention of doing any this season to be fair but I went to Bournemouth pre season in the summer. It was immense 3 hour journey with supporters club. The atomsphere was great for a away pre season and I enjoyed it! We lost 2-1 but the whole experience is in my mind! Lovely day! :ayatollah:

I applaude those who did all the games, we had a silly amount of away games in Jan, extra palace cup games to pay for, ST to pay for and now wembley to pay for next week. Amazing attendances home and away :ayatollah:

But if you dont count the anomalous (odd) results of Peterborough and Leeds, only counting league games, our average is 1,313. Sounds a little better doesnt it? ;)
I mean, how often have teams filled our away end of 2000? Look at how many Barnsley, Donny and Bristol brought :ayatollah:
Barnsley only brought about 100

P.S where did you find these figures? :ayatollah:

just think in the 90s, we were barely getting 2000 at home, so its notthat bad, can only get better dispite the way we are treated when we are away

Not sure of exact figures, but I would expect the above figures to be in excess of the number of away fans at the return fixture @ CCS. I think that's a better thing to work against, when considering our away attendances against other teams in the division.

The majority of clubs in this division have 2 or 3 local derbies - our closest is Bristol and after that Reading/Birmingham!!, so you'd expect the average of other clubs to be bumped a bit higher due to higher numbers at the local games.

Agree. Clubs in the midlands have short runs to most aways where as we have good runs to most of our aways.

Yes that is the fairest comparison.
Clubs like say Birmingham City have 80% of their games within 2 hours drive.

I think only Ipswich, Norwich and Leeds (and one other) took more to the CCS than we took to them last season.

Re: " OUR AWAY FOLLOWING "

I don't think that the figures read that well for a so called " BIG" club. Very disappointing really, perhaps it's the financial climate or a new breed of fans who are not as loyal and passionate as the old brigade.
