Opinions please FELLOW BLUEBIRDS!!!

Wed Feb 08, 2012 9:16 pm

I am due to get married in June and had a meeting with the reverent the other day, after weeks of nagging I finally convinced the missus to have Men of Harlech as one of the Hyms sung at the wedding.

However the reverent has told us we can't have it because it's to anti English and a voilent song. I tried to explain reason for wanting it but he wasn't having any of it.

What do you think guys? Also I am nt giving up and and I am looking for An instrumental version to play whilst signing register. Anyone know a decent version and where I can get it from.

Is it not possible to request another cleric? as the one you do have seems very politically correct or is it possible at this late stage to find another church?...or you could call the cleric's bluff and get a group of your mates to sing Men of Harlech as you take your beautiful bride down the isle (assuming they know the words of course)
