This tired bollocks

Wed Feb 08, 2012 8:44 pm

Birmingham have used less players than us and have played in European competition travelling around Europe.

Look at the run they are on and I think they are going to win the league or finish 2nd.

I agree, the team is tired excuse does not wash with me, they are professional sportsmen and train endlessly to achieve their goal, and get paid well for doing so, its the same for every team in the league.

They aren't tired, they didn't even look tired to me. Christ its one off day against a good Blackpool team.

It wasn't me who said they were tired it has been said over and over again on here.

It was just individual errors that cost us the Blackpool game. Marshall's poor clearance combined with the lack of marking on Phillips let in the first which led us to chase the win causing the second and third. Just a bad day at the office nothing more nothing less.

Wasn't aimed at you.

But as Aramore said it was defensive errors that cost us the points. If its one position we have loads of options in its defence.

Agree with that to, numerous people have said we look tirede and lethargic.

I agree I don't think tiredness played much of a part last Saturday although I am concerned about the amount of playing time on the pitch our squad will have as the season develops.

For me Saturday was about the difference in experience and quality from the bench where Blackpool had far greater fire power and it undone us.

8 games in March is going to be a real test for us but at least 5 of them are at home. A pivotal month for us I feel.

However Birminghams game plan isn't high intensity pressing high up the pitch like Malkys tactics. Irrelevant post

I agree dont buy into tired nonsense, Their all fit young men if their not capable of running around even with 2 games in close succession there is a fundamental problem,

How often do you watch Birmingham? Maybe we should change our tactics to match them then being as they are above us.

I know more than enough to know that they play with 2 up top and two out and out wingers. They were also a Prem team that won the Carling Cup last season and despite 14 players leaving since that day, not all have left and they also have the resources of parachute payments to strengthen considerably plus the revenue generated by a decent European run.

Maybe that's why they're above us??

birmingham's owners assets have been frozen whilst he awaits trial....they have no money at all.

They did in pre season though when they recruited the majority of their players though

And lost a lot of players though. Didn't spend huge amounts at all though. We strengthened a lot in the Summer though.

Yes but the base of players they still had was probably better than the players that we had left

Nothing about squad strengthening at all, what I said was when both us and Brum lost allnour players, the base that zbrum had and the one we had were miles apart. Malky has done really well but zbrum were stronger to start with and play a totally different style to us. We don't tend to have too many times during a game to rest.

You are reaching man. Maybe Chris Hughton is a better manager than Malky. I mean not with the clapping stuff and the passion to the fans stuff but the actual managing a team stuff.
