Where we sit now.

I think the best way to look at it, although its by no means the case, is quite simply this, no new players equals no promotion, but if we can get players in we get to roll the dice. Thats nothing against the players because they have been fantastic I just think this league is going to ask too many questions, and in a way sometimes it can be to your benefit to air on the side of caution, and be a bit realistic. The difference between being realistic and negative is being realistic is healthy and productive.

I still have plenty of confidence in Malky but its getting very tough at the top now with any one of maybe ten teams in a position to challenge for the top two, only the most consistent will manage it. If your short on players and options the odds could start to become seriously stacked against you. I do have faith in Malky, and I do think he will come up trumps, but even if the wheels do fall off and it all goes tits up and we finish mid table, can anyone then say we had a bad season all things considered? Im convinced we will have a great Crack next year and start as one of the favourites at the very least.

Lets just keep believing because it will happen eventually!

If Malky goes with what he's got then it's Championship football again next season.

Worth mentioning that we have got an extra home game compared to Southampton and Birmingham. Think it's 7 of our last 11 at home, could be a big factor if we are still in a similar position coming into the hull game.

If we don't do it this season it won't be too much of a surprise to me, we've had a major rebuilding of the team, backroom staff and management, but we could soon be known as "ever the bridegroom but never the bride" as over recent seasons we've been knocking on that door but never manage to get through it.

It is worth mentioning because it could come down to a point or a single goal difference at the end of the season, we cannot take anything for granted. One of the things that makes Malky a special manager is he totally respects any team he has to play against, and sees the value in looking at every little detail. That could be what makes the difference at the end of the season.

Malky says it comes down to the last ten games when we will know if we have a shout at promotion, but to be in a good position then, some work needs to be done now.If we go up with what we have got I think it would be a phenomenal achievement, and it would be one of the greatest in British football history. If he does the double and gets the Carling Cup it would be an absolutely legendary achievement, just to get things into context. Both are extremely hard even with a bottomless budget but with the right additions to the squad we could have a real shot at both.I have faith that something will happen soon, the money and the determination is there and that's all that's needed with perhaps a bit of luck aswell. We have done so well and im sure they wont give that up without a fight!
