Learn about fire extinguishers and the different colours for different fires. That's the only difficult part of the test.Like you i done zilch revision apart from the fire ext colours and i pissed it.Common sense the rest of it.

Honestly mate, it really is easy, don't worry about it. There are one or two tricky ones in there but not really enough to prevent you from passing. It's just common sense most of it. The ones you might want to brush up on are the fire extinguisher symbols and the chemical signs. These are all in Google images and these are the ones I found less obvious.

I'm the type of person who uses every possible last minute in a test. I generally use the allowed time to check, recheck and check again. But in that test I checked over lots of times and still had plenty of time left. I formed the conclusion that the CSCS card has nothing much to do with safty but everything to do with validating people. It makes it easier for employers to check if people are legal if they've got this card.

That's all it is is a covering the arse exercise for contractor's to tick a box that they are employing "competent" and "safe" personnel, some of the questions are so stupid/easy that they couldn't possibly be put together with construction safety in mind.

Lilybul, I wouldn't be too concerned with the questions, as you can probably pass the test on common sense alone, however as previous posters have pointed out there will be a number of specific questions that you will need a prior knowledge to be able to answer them i.e. fire extinguisher types, safe ladder angles and heights etc
